Neukirchen ist ein Ortsteil der Gemeinde Steinbergkirche in Schleswig-Holstein - Luftbild | Neukirchen ist ein Ortsteil der Gemeinde Steinbergkirche in Schleswig-Holstein, direkt an der Flensburger Außenförde gelegen. Der Ort hat rund 120 Einwohner (Stand 2013) und liegt westlich der Halbinsel Habernis, die am östlichen Ortsrand beginnt. Historisch entstand Neukirchen im 17. Jahrhundert als Siedlung „Nieby“ im Zuge eines geplanten Hafens durch Herzog Hans den Jüngeren von Glücksburg. Der Name setzte sich jedoch nicht durch, stattdessen wurde der Ort nach der 1621 erbauten evangelischen Kirche ("Neue Kirche") benannt.
